Challenges you would face
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback
- Oversee the development and implementation of scalable backend features using Python and FastAPI
- Oversee the development and implementation of scalable frontend features using React
- Design, implement, and manage databases using SQL
- Utilize AWS S3 and SQS for scalable and efficient data storage and messaging
- Manage microservices architecture
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless and effective solutions
- Ensure best practices in the development, deployment, and maintenance of applications
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team
- Ensure the team is aligned with business goals and deliverables are met on time
The ideal candidate
- 12+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a managerial or high-profile technical role
- Strong technical skills in Python (FastAPI) and React
- Experience working with Amazon S3 and SQS
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
