Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Overview

Our client is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the digital transformation of a financial organization. This long-term role requires a strategic vision in technology and business operations to elevate the company to the next level. The CTO will oversee internal and external technology teams, managing infrastructure, development, and cybersecurity while aligning technological initiatives with business goals.

Challenges you would face

• Define and implement a technological roadmap aligned with the company’s strategic objectives
• Evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage
• Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning
• Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of technology products with a focus on quality and security
• Ensure scalable, secure, and efficient technology infrastructure and operations
• Supervise compliance with industry regulations and cybersecurity protocols
• Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to make strategic technology decisions

The ideal candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of executive-level technology experience
• 5+ years in leadership roles within technology teams
• Proven expertise in software development, systems architecture, and agile methodologies
• Strong knowledge of AI, cloud computing, big data, and cybersecurity
• Experience managing technology budgets and negotiating with vendors
• Fluency in Spanish and English

Plus

• Experience as a founder or leader of financial technology projects
• Certifications in project management (PMP), cloud architecture (AWS, Azure), or cybersecurity (CISM, CISSP)
• Familiarity with open-source software licensing and tools
