Lead Data Engineer

Overview

Our client is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design and develop solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud. This role involves building data ingestion pipelines, data architecture, and ensuring data governance and security across customer projects. The ideal candidate is experienced in data pipeline construction and optimization, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on innovation and client satisfaction.

Challenges you would face

• Design and develop Snowflake data architectures and data warehouses
• Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines using tools like DataStage, Informatica, and Matillion
• Ensure consistent data delivery architecture across multiple customer projects
• Lead technical teams in the implementation of data solutions
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align data strategies with business goals
• Present reports and findings to customers and team members

The ideal candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data management, database development, ETL, and data pipelines
• Proficiency with cloud platforms, primarily AWS (Azure and GCP are a plus)
• Experienced in SQL scripting and Python or Scala for data processing
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, action-oriented approach
• Advanced English proficiency
• Experience in Agile team environments
