Lead/Senior QA Engineer

Overview

Our client is seeking a Lead/Senior QA Engineer to define and execute the quality assurance strategy for a cutting-edge low-code financial services platform. This role offers the opportunity to build a robust testing framework, lead a high-performing QA team, and ensure the quality of a transformative self-service platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automated testing, QA leadership, and a strong technical foundation in testing methodologies.

Challenges you would face

• Design and implement a comprehensive testing strategy, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using TypeScript and modern testing tools
• Establish testing standards, best practices, and documentation for the engineering organization
• Build and lead a QA team, including hiring, mentoring, and professional development
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing seamlessly into the development lifecycle
• Create and maintain continuous integration pipelines for automated testing
• Design testing environments that accurately simulate production scenarios
• Monitor testing coverage and effectiveness through metrics and reporting systems

The ideal candidate

• 6+ years of experience in QA automation with TypeScript
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end testing frameworks
• Strong knowledge of integration and unit testing methodologies
• Experience in building and managing QA teams
• Proficiency with test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Jest, and Testing Library
• In-depth understanding of continuous integration and deployment practices
• Experience testing complex web applications and distributed systems

Plus

• Experience with visual regression testing and performance testing methodologies
• Familiarity with financial services domain and API testing frameworks
• Understanding of security testing principles
• Experience with cloud testing environments, particularly AWS
• Background in testing microservices architectures
